Establish a career in the make-up application and skin care industry as a certified esthetician. An esthetic license can open a world of career opportunities for you in the skin care and make-up industry. With an esthetics license, you can work in a spa or salon, be a manufacturer’s skin care or make-up salesperson, sell skin care or make-up products to department or specialty stores or be a representative for a worldwide skin care or make-up company. You can even work for a cosmetic surgeon or a dermatologist as a medical aesthetician. Gain expertise in the highly sought after skill of make-up artistry and start progressing towards your goal of working in the fashion industry.

Course Offerings and Requirements

Program Level – Certificate We provide the 600 hour course that prepares you to take the New York State written and practical exams to obtain an Esthetics license. Our experienced instructors teach the “core curriculum” which includes skin care theory and analysis, waxing, the science of product ingredients, new trends in skin care, and make-up application. In additionto the required course of study, we go above and beyond and teach advanced spa treatments. You will be introduced to Back Facials, Lymphatic Drainage Facial Massage, Body Scrubs and Wraps, Hot Oil Infusion Scalp Massage, Essential Oil and Aromatherapy treatments, and more! For the Esthetics Program, it is required that you have at least a H.S. Diploma or TASC for admission.

Schedule of Classes and Completion Rate

  • Day Program – Monday thru Friday: 8:45 am to 4:15 pm Length of Program: 17 weeks
  • Weekend Program – Saturday & Sunday – 8 am to 6 pm Length of Program: 50 weeks
  • Evening Program: – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm Length of Program : 34 weeks
  • Monday & Wednesday – 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm Length of Program: 50 weeks
  • Completion Rate – Of those that completed the evening program in 2017-2018, 85% finished in 12 months.
